After visiting th Box Hill model railway show, I called into South Dynon Depot on the way home. All three XRB's were seen on this visit. XRB560 & XRB551 were in the yard and XRB552 was inside.
Wednesday 7/4/2003 saw an empty ballast train come to Gheringhap for loading with some of the stockpile of ballast sitting around the yard.
One the same morning we saw 9140 arrive on the up and detach one of it's loco's (X39) and place it into the former broad gauge gypsum siding.
X39 was picked up later that afternoon on 9127 which was a down train.
On Saturday 20th March my UK visitor Russell Moorhouse and I (Graham Elliott) paid a visit to the Dyon shed in Melbourne. And these are the locos we saw on shed.
Tuesday 23 March was the last night Russell stayed with Wendy & (me) Graham at Gheringhap. So I took him out to dinner along with Driver Geoff & Glenda, Wendy and friend Peter Greaves.
The dinner was to farewell Russell and to wish him happy birthday for the 27th. As well as to thank Geoff for the cab ride.
On Sunday 21st March 2004 I arranged a cab ride for my visitor from the UK Russell Moorhouse and myself (Graham Elliott).
My good friend Geoff Evans who is Freight Australia's most senior driver got the official cab pass's for us and he was also the driver of our empty grain train, which was a driver only train from North Geelong yard. And we took it as far as Maryborough. The motive power on this train was G525+X40+G516+T363(WC)+T378(VL)
